Supporting The Local Community

This month’s Bronte School Fair was a standout success with the family friendly community event attracting big crowds and raising vital funds for the school. As a major sponsor of the school, Alexander Phillips donated a commission-free sale at the event’s silent auction which raised $49,200 that will go towards improving the school’s facilities. Alexander has maintained strong ties with the school for over a decade through fundraising initiatives as well as donations, and over the last two years has raised more than $120,000 for Bronte Public School.

Alexander says, “After a two-year hiatus, the Bronte Public School Fair was a bit hit and we were thrilled to be part of the action. As always, the commission-free sale prize sold for a lot more than we anticipated and it’s fantastic to be able to give back to the Bronte community and enhance the school’s facilities and infrastructure as it plays such an important role in the community. The prize was purchased by a young couple who plan to sell their home in Bondi Junction so a big thank you to them for contributing to such a great cause and we look forward to working with them to help them achieve their goals.”

In other community news, Jason Pantzer sold 33 Arthur Street, Randwick on behalf of the St Vincent’s Clinic Research Foundation. The property was sold at auction for $2.215m which was an excellent result for a completely original single-storey semi. Jason says, “I was thrilled to be able to play a role in raising much needed funds for St Vincent’s research clinic which will go towards supporting critical medial research projects and enable opportunities for future medical breakthroughs. The property was bequeathed to the foundation and the commission-free sale was valued at $48,000 which will make a big impact in supporting innovative research.”

Alexander and Jason’s combined recent fundraising initiatives have raised over $156,000 to Bronte Public School and St Vincent’s Hospital which will go towards improving the quality of life in our community.

On a final note, Charlie Beaumont’s FU.MND fundraiser to raise money and awareness for Motor Neurone Disease will take place tomorrow, Saturday 25th November at the Diamond Bay Bowling Club from 5.30pm to 10.30pm. Charlie says, “Every day, two Australians are diagnosed with MND and, as there is still no cure, research is critical. All funds raised on the night will go to MND NSW to provide support, equipment and education to those living with MND and their families. I look forward to seeing you at the event and I promise you it’s not one to miss or you can donate online at [MND Blue – FUMND].”
