Raising The Roof In Tamarama
Every once in a while, a property comes to market that challenges convention with a creative design that ups the design stakes and fosters a sense of joy and wellbeing. After living in the beach house at 29 Tamarama Street, Tamarama for six years, celebrated architect Carla Middleton of CMA embarked on creating a dream home for her young family. By raising the roof and shifting sightlines to create a privately focused home, Carla has created a strikingly beautifully five-bedroom home that achieves a dynamic interplay of light with curated vistas and a lush level garden designed by Pepo Botanic as a seamless extension of the interiors.
Charlie Beaumont and Alexa Duffy have listed the beachside beauty with an auction date of Saturday 26th April. Alexa says, “I’m thrilled to be representing Carla in the sale as it really is a special home. I first met Carla when she designed my family home in Clovelly, and so I know first-hand about how incredible her homes are to live in. The attention to detail, the quality of finish and that intangible quality of how a home makes you feel are signature qualities of Carla’s aesthetic and her Tamarama home is a true one-of-a-kind. Once inside, you’re cocooned in light and greenery with spaces for the whole family to enjoy including a garden studio that makes your feel miles from anywhere yet you’re just 600m to Tamarama Beach!”
In fact, it’s a tale of synergy as Alexa joined the PPD sales team soon after PPD sold her family home and Alexa was so impressed by the way that the sale was handled that she was inspired to pursue a career in real estate. After earning her stripes as a leasing consultant and property manager, she joined the sales team to work alongside Charlie Beaumont.
Alexa explains, “I’ve been part of the PPD team for four years now, and I couldn’t be happier. I truly love the people, the culture, and the opportunities here. I’m constantly inspired by what our partners stand for, and I’m driven by their work ethic and passion. Working with Charlie is an absolute dream; not only are we friends, but we understand each other deeply, and he’s been an incredible mentor. I hit the ground running with my very first sale of a stunning property at 1/11 Hardy Street, North Bondi. I took over an expired listing for the resort-style home, owned by Tomi Bjorck of MasterChef fame, and implemented a fresh approach to the campaign. The property sold for $5.6 million which was an epic first sale that truly fuelled both my confidence and my passion for real estate!”
