4 Rawson Avenue, Queens Park

8 May 2019

Nova’s ‘Wippa’, occasionally known as Michael Wipfli, and his wife, Lisa, have listed their Queens Park home with a $2.5m guide through Phillip Pantzer Donnelley’s Nick Quilkey and Debbie Donnelley.

The couple have redone the deck and repainted the architect-designed four-bedroom, two-bathroom home on a 159 sqm block at 4 Rawson Ave that they bought for $1.87m in 2014. But they’re now looking to upsize to Vaucluse — in fact they’ve already missed out on a few large family homes in that neighbourhood — so their children can be closer to their schools. Wippa joins Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald in their ‘Fitzy & Wippa’ breakfast and drive programs on Nova FM.

The previous owner of the Rawson Ave 1920s semi had completely transformed it by adding a second floor. It now boasts an open and spacious living, dining and kitchen area. The kitchen has a Caesarstone island bench with integrated Bosch gas appliances. And upstairs, the main bedroom has a balcony. The bathrooms have stone finishes with rainshower fittings and there’s a large laundry. Other attractions are the hardwood floors, high ceilings, plantation shutters, airconditioning and extra storage space in the attic.

Mr Quilkey expects the home to appeal to young families upsizing from smaller terraces or apartments and also downsizers. The home has rear-lane access and it’s an easy walk to Bondi Junction, Centennial Park and Queens Park.
